Aelia Pulcheria, Augusta, 414-453. Solidus (Gold, 21 mm, 4.50 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis, 423-425. AEL PVLCH-ERIA AVG Pearl-diademed and draped bust of Aelia Pulcheria to right, crowned by the hand of God; on her shoulder, small cross. Rev. VOT XX MVLT XXX I / CONOB Victory standing front, head to left, holding long jeweled cross in her right hand; above, star. Depeyrot 75/3. MIRB 19b. RIC 226. Very rare. Well struck and attractive, with an excellent portrait and an incredibly detailed coiffure. Die break on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
